- NVIDIA Orin NX 16 GB onboard Perception, navigation and your own AI models run on the robot itself, without streaming every frame to a remote computer.
- IP54 for outdoor work The body is rated against dust and splashing water, so patrols carry on across damp or dusty yards.
- 10 kg payload LiDAR, extra cameras, thermal sensors, radios or compute modules can ride on top, making it the mobile base for an inspection, security or research rig.
- Up to 5 m/s on rough ground It climbs 40° inclines and clears obstacles of about 35 cm, which covers grass, gravel, ramps and curbs.
- Folds for one person to carry At about 16 kg it folds to about 670 × 435 × 145 mm for transport in a vehicle or a case.
- Develop, simulate, deploy An SDK and robot APIs, Python, NVIDIA Isaac Sim support and the OpenClaw no-code tool let you test behaviours in simulation before field work.
- 216 Wh battery, one-hour recharge A charge gives about 1–2 hours of operation depending on speed, terrain and payload, and a full recharge takes about an hour.
Description
The FX Aegis Ultra is the professional, outdoor-capable model in Faraday Future's Aegis quadruped family. The Aegis, Aegis Pro and Aegis Edu are built for everyday properties, performances and classrooms; the Ultra is built for field work. An NVIDIA Orin NX 16 GB computer processes what it sees onboard, IP54 protection keeps it working in dust and splashing water, and a 10 kg payload carries the sensors, cameras and radios a real mission needs.
Twelve joints, three per leg, drive a body of aluminium alloy and high-strength engineering plastics. It reaches up to 5 m/s, climbs inclines of up to 40° and clears obstacles of about 35 cm, enough for patrol and inspection routes across grass, gravel, ramps and curbs. IP54 covers dust and splashing water, not submersion or pressure washing. At about 16 kg it stands about 630 × 360 × 420 mm and folds to about 670 × 435 × 145 mm, so one person can carry it to a vehicle or a transport case.
The Ultra is also an open development platform. It comes with an SDK and robot APIs, Python development, NVIDIA Isaac Sim support for testing behaviours in simulation, the OpenClaw no-code tool and over-the-air updates, and it stays reachable over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G. Security teams and property managers use it as an outdoor patrol robot, industrial and utility operators for inspection rounds across yards and plants, and universities and integrators as a base for locomotion, perception and embodied-AI work.
A 216 Wh battery gives about 1–2 hours of operation depending on speed, terrain and payload, with about an hour for a full recharge, so long routes need spare batteries or charging stops. Within the line, the Aegis Ultra+ builds on the Ultra platform with additional capabilities, and what those are is confirmed with the quotation; the Ultra-W and Ultra-W+ put a wheel at the end of each leg for long routes that mix rolling and stepping. The camera and sensor fit of your unit is confirmed at quote, and because patrol cameras record people, plan notices and video-retention rules for the areas it covers.
