The Noetix Bumi Pro is the top edition of Noetix Robotics' consumer humanoid robot: 98 cm tall, about 17 kg, with 21 degrees of freedom — six in each leg, four in each arm and one at the waist. On top of everything the Bumi Standard does, it adds a 4G/5G module and the high-intensity dance library, with routines that include jumps and fast spins.
Noetix builds Bumi for family companionship, maker education, programming learning and technology enthusiasts. It walks, dances, stands up by itself and learns new moves in teaching mode — up to 255 actions recorded by moving its limbs by hand — and everything is controlled from the NOETIX Run app for iOS and Android. Beginners start with visual programming and audiobooks in the app; developers can build on the upper-layer motion-control SDK (HighController).
A microphone array and speaker in the head carry voice conversation in Chinese and English (wake word “Bumi Bumi”). Voice needs an internet connection, and the 4G/5G module keeps it available where there is no Wi-Fi; basic movement also works over a direct Bluetooth link to the app. The knee joints deliver up to 70 N·m, and a 48 V 5.1 Ah quick-release smart battery gives 2–3 hours of runtime and charges off the robot in about 1–2 hours.
Bumi Pro, Bumi Standard or an EDU edition? The Bumi Standard shares the same body, battery, camera and app, on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with the low-intensity dances. The EDU editions add motor-level development (LowController), audio and video access for developers and the Chinese New Year dance.
